You can download my programs through this page (M means that the program was modified during the last six months):

Chemech/ZiTa:

A comprehensive program package for calculating rate constants of reaction mechanisms.
(ChemMech is the successor of ZiTa.)

EGYENES:

This program carries out linear fitting.

MRA:

This program carries out matrix rank analysis on data matrices having (experimental) uncertainty.

pHCali:

This program calibrates pH-metric instruments.

PSEQUAD: (M)

A program for calculating equilibrium constants from experimental data.

SpCalc/SPFIT:

A smoothing spline fitter giving complete numerical analysis of data having (experimental) uncertainty.

ChemMech v5.99g (last modification: 07/20/2017)

This program is able to determine the values of the rate coefficients of a supposed chemical model from experimental data. The size of the data and the complexity of the supposed model is practically unlimited. The full documentation of Zita version 4.0 is attached in PDF form, and it is valid in 99% with the exception of the chapter dealng with the installation. The self-explaining installation happens with the program ChemMech.exe. After the installation the executables must be created by the

Compile.bat all

command in the actually created subdirectory of the program package and all question can be answered by pressing ENTER.

To test the program package is possible by giving the

do e

Compile.bat md Base.ode

Task.bat Base.tsk an

commands. The installation is perfect if everything works OK (including the plotting programs, too).

ZITA v5.0 (last modification: 03/10/2000)

This program is able to determine the values of the rate coefficients of a supposed chemical model from experimental data. The size of the data and the complexity of the supposed model is practically unlimited, it is restricted by only the size of the memory and the hard disk. The downloadable file includes the full documentation of the version 4.0 in PDF form. It is fully valid for the newest version with the exception of the installation chapter. The new INSTALL.EXE program can be used without additional explanations. Two advices are necessary for the successful installation and usage:

  1. The program was written for the DOS operating system so the used file names must consist of up to 8 characters and the extensions can consist of max. three characters even under Windows!

  2. It is suggested to write the following line into the C:\CONFIG.SYS file:
    Shell = C:\Command.com C:\ /P /E:2048
It concerns both the pure DOS and the Windows.

EGYENES.ZIP v1.06 (last modification: 05/07/1999)

Probably you have met several programs carrying out linear regression Originally this program was written for students. The program has three advantages: (1) the omitted data do not disappear from the figure to prove the necessity of their omission, (2) the result are stored in a simple text file and (3) the confidence intervals are also calculated and plotted.

The program was written for DOS and works in standard VGA graphic mode (16 colors, 640x480 resolution). Its work can be modified through command line parameters. Starting the program without any parameter the user gets help. Originally the program works in Hungarian, but if you rename the EGYENES.EXE executable to PGLINFIT.EXE, it will work in English.

MRA v3.11 (last modification: 07/27/2004)

This program carries out matrix rank analysis mainly for experimental data matrices. Three techniques can be used for this purpose: the classic elimination, the eigenvalue calculation and the calculation of residual absorbance curves (see my publication, i.e. J. Phys. Chem. 1997 or the README file).

The program was written for DOS and works in text mode. The calculation can be modified by command line parameters or configuration files. Starting the program without parameters it gives full help.

pHCali v1.32a-20070323 (last modification: 03/23/2007))

This program calibrates pH-metric measuring systems. Against the traditional procedures, it evaluates the experimental data in a single fitting step without any simplification. This method makes possible to carry out a more trustable calibration considering the maximum precision of the instrument and to indicate the carbonate content.

The program works under DOS, Windows and Linux operating systems both in text and graphical mode of the desktop. Many behavior of the program can be adjusted through command line parameters or a configuration file..
