The Project

The CAPITULUM Research Group for Medieval Church History launched a project for building up a digitized (full-text) database of medieval charters issued by places of authentication (loca credibilia) up to the mid-fourteenth century. The first phase of the project focuses some 1300 charters issued by fourteen places of authentication between 1214 and 1353.
