Location
Szeged
is cultural and educational centre of Southeast
Hungary,
with a population of around 180.000 and is located 170 km from
Budapest.
Szeged is a university town and has long history of higher education.
It is also famous for the paprika, the Pick salami, and
the unique gastronomy of the region.
The hungarian currency is FORINT (HUF) 1 Euro is approximately 260

Visas
Citizens of most countries with valid passports do not need an advanced
visa to enter Hungary, but please check the details with your travel agent
or visit the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of
Hungary. In other cases, entry visas can be obtained from Hungarian
consular offices in the respective countries. More information can be

IUPAC sponsorship implies that entry visas will be granted to all bona
fide chemists provided application is made not less than three months in
advance. If a visa is not granted one month before the meeting the IUPAC
Secretariat should be notified without delay by the applicant.
Invitation Letter
An official letter of invitation may be sent to participants who may need
it in order to request visa, funding. etc. The invitation letter does not
imply any obligations or commitment (financial or other) from the
Organising Committee of the V4 Symposium.
Special diet/disability
Special diets can be provided only if advance notice is given to the
organisers. Attendants who require special diets should note on the
Registration Form and give details of diet required. Similarly, the
organisers are eager to assist wherever possible with special needs of
disability. Such a request should be indicated on the Registration Form.
