1. Chemo-, regio- and stereoselective transformations
of estranes and androstanes.
D-ring opening and D-ring closure
reactions. Synthesis of
D-homo- and heterocyclic steroids.
Appications of domino reactions for the
synthesis of new derivatives, such as hybrid natural
products.
2. Synthesis of biologically
active steroids.
Preparation of 16,16-dimethyl and 16-spirocyclic compounds.
Synthesis of a bile acid derivative, which is the key
compound of the
ursodeoxycholyl-4-aminobenzoic acid test in contaminated small bowel syndrome.
