Kutatási témák:

1. Elektropolírozás

Fémfelületek erősen savas, viszkózus közegekben anódos oldódásuk közben kisimulnak, tükörfényesek lesznek. Ezt a folyamatot vizsgáltuk különböző módszerekkel, az elektropolírozás során kialakuló fázishatár szerkezetét és a polírozásban játszott szerepét próbáltuk felderíteni.

2. Bioelektrokémia

Redoxi fehérjék (citokróm c) és enzimek (glükóz-oxidáz) adszorpcióját és elektrokémiai reakcióit vizsgáltuk különböző elektródfelületeken.

3. Elektrokatalízis

Szerves vegyületek elektrokémiai átalakítását és szerves vezető polimerek elektrokémiai kialakítását és lehetséges alkalmazásait vizsgáltuk.

4. Fullerének elektrokémiája

A szén molekuláris allotróp módosulatainak, a fulleréneknek vizes közegű elektrokémiai vizsgálatát végeztük. Számos, különböző fémiont tartalmazó szilárd fulleridet állítottunk elő, s vizsgáltuk ezek fizikai, elektrokémiai és fotoelektrokémai viselkedését.

5. Önrendeződő rétegek

Arany felületeken amino-tiolok kemiszorpciójával önrendeződő rétegeket alakítottunk ki. Ezekhez a rétegekhez kinon molekulákat kötöttünk, így molekuláris vezető láncokat hoztunk létre.
